"In 2,000 years of Christian history, approximately seventy million faithful believers have given their lives as martyrs. Of that number, 45.5 million (65 percent) were within the last century.
www.ewtn.com: “20th Century Saw 65 percent of Christian Martyrs”
Nancy Leigh DeMoss "Ears to Hear" Read her comments below:
First:Read Revelation 2:8–11.
"Record the description of Christ.
What is the significance of this description of Christ?
Jesus’ words, “I know your tribulation and your poverty” (Rev 2:9), come from One who can truly identify with those who suffer. Consider His personal experience with affliction as you read these passages: Isaiah 63:9; Philippians 2:8; Hebrews 4:15–16; 1 Peter 2:22–24.
Does your family misunderstand you? Jesus can relate. Have you been rejected or falsely accused? So was He. Have you been abandoned or betrayed by someone you trusted? Turn to the One who experienced the greatest betrayal known to man. The child of God never suffers alone. Jesus has walked the path of suffering and knows it well, and He will walk with you each step of the way.
Read the account of the first Christian martyr in Acts 7. How does Stephen’s response to those who stoned him compare to your reaction when criticized or attacked? How was he able to respond this way?
Record the promise given to the persecuted believers in Smyrna (Rev. 2:10). The Greek word for crown in this verse is stephanos. It is the word for the victor’s crown. The first Christian martyr, Stephen (Gk: Stephanos), received a victor’s crown for his faithful witness for Christ, even as he was being stoned to death for His faith in Christ.
How can you demonstrate your faithfulness as an overcomer today?" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss.

Some who are willing to die for You! We pray for the small areas of the world who do not know You yet and we pray that Your Word will be manifested in all their lives soon! Message to Ephesus
1"To the angel of the church in (A)Ephesus write: The One who holds (B)the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks (C)among the seven golden lampstands, says this:
2'(D)I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you (E)put to the test those who call themselves (F)apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;

His Amazing Grace
"In Him (Jesus Christ ) we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of His grace!" Ephesians 1:7
"But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus after you have suffered for a while, perfect establish, strengthen and settle you." 1 Peter 5:10
"God is more forgiving that we can imagine. His continuing grace can take the sorry elements of human life and use them for His blessed purposes. There is nothing more marvelous in all the world than the power of God's grace." David Jeremiah
Paul used the word at the beginning and end of every one of his letters. It was the grace of God that planned salvation before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) (2 Timothy 1:9)
"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
See the closing statement of Revelations: (Rev. 22:21)
"By Grace we are saved through faith and this is not of ourselves but God's gift and not from works so none will boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Amazing Grace by John Newton 1779
1 "A- maz- ing grace! How sweet the sound! That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now I'm found; Was blind but now I see.
2 Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears re- lieved.
How pre- cious did that grace ap -pear the hour I first be lieved.
3 Thro man- y dan- gers toils and snares I have al- read - y come. Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead
me home.
4 When we've been there ten thou - sand years, Bright shin - ing as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise, Than when
we first be - gun."
Amazing Grace
In 2005 a country western singer at a bar , in Savannah Georgia, was playing some music. It was smoky and thick, and people had been drinking. As it ended, she said it went really well, and they asked for an encore. Then she sang, "Amazing Grace" a cappella, and it just shut the room down. Everything just stopped! Everybody ended up singing with her, like it was church. .... He came to all people, even sinners in a bar. He came especially to people who were doing it all wrong, all busted up, sick, sinful, and who needed help. Then and now. Millions of people for 260 years-have been moved by this song and felt like it was about them.
It's about us!
This passage Inspired John Newton's writing of 'Amazing Grace'
King David ..... "Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? And yet You have also spoken of Your servant's house fir a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the rank of a man of high degree, O LORD God." 1 Chronicles 17:16, 17.

Amazing Grace yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
Good Morning! Happy Blessed Thanksgiving!
Amazing Grace! Grace means undeserved acceptance and love received from another. Divine grace from God: it refers to the undeserved favor of God in providing salvation for those deserving condemnation. ( all of us, me!) the saving activity of God which is manifested in the gift of His Son to die in the place of sinners. In Greek it is charis: "the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ"... It is the redeeming activity of God that manifests itself in the redemptive work of Christ by which sinners are forgiven and accepted by God! Wow thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank you Christ Jesus , I owe you my life. We owe you our life, with every breath! Love, hugs, prayers, and His grace! Love T!
Amazing Grace written by John Newton 1779:
A man who always seemed to get into trouble. He deserted the British Navy, was captured, flogged, and demoted. His life was out of control, living at sea as a slave trader, unmoved by such a despicable way of life. March 9, 1748, a night which changed his life, newton could no longer save himself. A blinding storm arose off the coast of Newfoundland, he and his crew, cried out to God for mercy. The gracious, loving God he remembered from his Mother's faith not only spared Newton's life, but also led him to a new way of living.
Years later, as an anti-slavery activist, most influential evangelists of his day, wrote:
"That tenth of March is a day much remember be me. I have never suffered it to pass unnoticed since the year 1748- the Lord came to me on high and delivered me out of deep waters."
"Amazing Grace," John Newton's very personal story of transformation, is the most famous of hundreds of hymns he penned throughout his life. It was the story of his life, and perhaps the most famous hymn of all time."

Let God lead you! Love God!
Joshua concludes his farewell address and charge by reminding Israel of God's promises kept; however, His threat is true: if you serve other gods and bow down before them, you (Israel) will perish off the good land He has given.
Loving God will take you away from sin and produce good fruit of righteousness.
Joshua 23:9-16 Love GOD, JESUS CHRIST!!!!!

Prayer
"Lord You are all we really need! You are so awesome, magnificent, highly exalted, powerful, majestic, lovely, and a friend. Even when we don't deserve anything, you provide air for us to breathe and food to eat. Forgive us of all our shortcomings and imperfections and our daily mistakes. Forgive us our sin when we act like a human and begin to think with our brain other that waiting for your perfect answer. Lord control our quick impulses and control not only our minds, but also our emotions and will. Lord fill (control in greek) us with Your Holy Spirit! Control our mind, emotions, and will. Two "Prayer Tips" from George Müller:
1. Open Bible Before Him, and His Finger Upon That Promise, He would Plead That Promise, and So He
Received What He Asked
2. Müller's Discovery Was That After Meditating On Scripture He Was More Able to Experience a Meaningful
Prayertime

1. Open Bible Before Him, and His Finger Upon That Promise, He would Plead That Promise, and So He
Received What He Asked
One of the mightiest men of prayer of the last generation was George Mueller of Bristol, England, who in the
last sixty years of his life (he lived to be ninety-two or ninety-three) obtained the English equivalent of
$7,200,000.00 by prayer. But George Mueller never prayed for a thing just because he wanted it, or even just
because he felt it was greatly needed for God's work. When it was laid upon George Mueller's heart to pray for
anything, he would search the Scriptures to find if there was some promise that covered the case. Sometimes
he would search the scriptures for days before he presented his petition to God. And then when he found the
promise, with his open Bible before him, and his finger upon that promise, he would plead that promise, and so
he received what he asked. He always prayed with an open Bible before him.
-R. A. Torrey on George Müller; "The Power of Prayer," 1924 (P. 81)
_______
Note: R. A. Torrey was selected by Dwight L. Moody be in charge of his Chicago Bible Institute (now known as
The Moody Bible Institute). When Dwight Moody died during an evangelistic campaign, R. A. Torrey was
chosen to be his replacement, and thereafter had a ministry of Evangelism.
_______
Note: In German, when you cannot write an "umlaut" letter "ü" (for instance, on many of the old-style
typewriters), you write "ue" instead. So you may see the name spelled either "Müller," "Mueller," or "Muller"
(the latter is an incorrect spelling from the German standpoint, but often English writers use it)."

Back to the Cross
Watchman Nee:
We today are at the terminal period of the dispensation of grace. The hand of the clock is pointing at the
midnight hour. Now is the darkest of the night. Soon, following the gloomiest hour, the day shall dawn.
Meanwhile, the Church rushes swiftly toward apostasy, moving farther away from God: the power of darkness
is unleashed; its evil influence is as damaging in the Church as in the world. The cross of Christ is the sole light
that enlightens the current darkness. It is therefore time for the Church to go back to the cross, to the firm
foundation of God. There, sins are cleansed and self is delivered. There, the redemptive facts of God are
revealed for us to believe and enter in. There, the power of resurrection is experientially known so that the
Church may once again be the true witness of Christ on earth. It is time for God's children to seek for high life
and service, time to review the past and rededicate themselves for the days ahead.
At the closing of this age, the activities of Satan are intensified. How greatly are the children of God being
attacked, oppressed and especially deceived. Now is the time for the saints to rise up and exercise the victory
of the cross to resist and counterattack the Enemy. How fierce is the battle. Can the saints overcome without
being fully armed? Saints of God, arise, stand on the victory of Calvary, and proclaim the victory of Christ. Your
King is coming, and the days of the Enemy are numbered.
This present volume is a compilation of various writings and addresses given by Watchman Nee in the early
days of his ministry. The passage of time, however, only increases the urgency of these messages which are as
relevant today, perhaps even more so, than at the time of their first delivery. Would that God's children might
return to the cross and be true followers of Christ crucified. May the Church of God be re-awakened to her
calling as the light in the world, holding forth the word of life. May she stand in the victory of Christ and bring
back the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

A Little Boy Converts his Mother
D.L. Moody:
I remember, when on the North Side, I tried to reach a family time and again and failed. One night in the
meeting, I noticed one of the little boys of that family. He hadn't come for any good, however; he was sticking
pins in the backs of the other boys. I thought if I could get hold of him it would do good. I used always to go to
the door and shake hands with the boys, and when I got to the door and saw this little boy coming out, I shook
hands with him, and patted him on the head, and said I was glad to see him, and hoped he would come again.
He hung his head and went away. The next night, however, he came back, and he behaved better than he did
the previous night. He came two or three after, and then asked us to pray for him that he might become a
Christian. That was a happy night for me. He became a Christian, and a good one. One night I saw him weeping.
I wondered if his old temper had got hold of him again, and when he got up I wondered what he was going to
say. "I wish you would pray for my mother," he said. When the meeting was over I went to him, and asked,
"Have you ever spoken to your mother, or tried to pray with her?" "Well, you know, Mr. Moody," he replied, "I
never had an opportunity; she don't believe, and won't hear me." "Now," I said, "I want you to talk to your
mother to-night." For years I had been trying to reach her and couldn't do it.
So I urged him to talk to her that night, and I said, "I will pray for you both." When he got to the sitting-room
he found some people there, and he sat waiting for an opportunity, when his mother said it was time for him to
go to bed. He went to the door undecided. He took a step, stopped, and turned around, and hesitated for a
minute, then ran to his mother and threw his arms around her neck, and buried his face in her bosom. "What is
the matter?" she asked; she thought he was sick. Between his sobs he told his mother how for five weeks he
had wanted to be a Christian; how he had stopped swearing; how he was trying to be obedient to her, and how
happy he would be if she would be a Christian, and then went off to bed. She sat for a few minutes, but couldn't
stand it, and went up to his room. When she got to the door she heard him weeping, and praying, "O God,
convert my dear mother." She came down again, but couldn't sleep that night. Next day she told the boy to go
and ask Mr. Moody to come over and see her. He called at my place of business (I was in business then), and I
went over as quiet as I could. I found her sitting in a rocking-chair weeping. "Mr. Moody," she said, "I want to
become a Christian." "What has brought that change over you? I thought you didn't believe in it." Then she told
me how her boy had come to her, and how she hadn't slept any all night, and how her sin rose up before her
like a dark mountain. The next Sunday that boy came and led that mother into the Sabbath-school, and she
became a Christian worker.

the door and shake hands with the boys, and when I got to the door and saw this little boy coming out, I shook
hands with him, and patted him on the head, and said I was glad to see him, and hoped he would come again.
A Boy's Story
D.L. Moody:
Some years ago, as I was about to close a prayer meeting, a young man got up and urged all those men
present that had not yet accepted of Christ, to do so that night. And in closing up his little speech, he said, "I
once had a father and mother that cared more for my soul than for anything else. At last my father died; and
when my father was dead and gone, my mother was more anxious than ever for me, and sometimes she would
come and put her loving arms around my neck, and she would just plead with me to go to Christ. She used to
tell me, after my father was dead, that she was lonesome without having me a Christian. I told her I sympathized
with her; but declared I wanted to see a little of the world. I did not want to become a Christian in early life.
Sometimes I would wake up past midnight, and would hear a voice in my mother's chamber. I would hear that
godly mother crying to God for her boy. I was her only child. I was very dear to her. At last I felt I must either
become a Christian or go away from that mother's influence; and I ran away. After I had been gone a long time,
I heard from home indirectly. I heard my mother was sick. I knew what it meant. I knew that she was pining for
me. I knew her heart was broken on account of me and my wayward life. I thought I would go home and ask my
mother to forgive me. My second thought was, if I did, I would have to go and be a Christian. I could not stay
under the same roof without becoming a Christian. My rebellious heart said, 'I will not go.' When I heard again, I
heard my mother was much worse. The thought came, supposing my mother should die, supposing I should
never see that mother again, I never could forgive myself. I started for home. There was no train to my native
village. I took the coach. I got in just after dark. The moon was shining. I had to go about a mile and a half to my
mother's house; and on my way I thought I would go by the village graveyard, and I thought I would get over the
fence, and go to the grave where my father was buried, to see if there was a new-made grave. It might be that
mother was gone. When I drew near that grave, my heart began to beat more quickly, as by the light of the
moon I saw the new-made grave. The whole story was told. The whole story was clear. My sainted mother was
gone. It was a fresh-made grave. It had just been dug. For the first time in my life this question came stealing
over me: Who was going to pray for my lost soul now? Father and mother both gone now. And, young men, I
would have given the world, if I could have called that mother back and have her put her arms around my neck,
and heard her breathe my name in prayer. But her voice was silent forever. She was gone. I knelt beside that
grave, crying that God might have mercy on me, and that God would forgive me. And I did not leave that grave
all night till the morning dawn. But before morning I believed that God, for Christ's sake, had forgiven my sins,
and that my mother's God had become my God. But, young men, I would never forgive myself. I never can. I
killed that mother. I trampled her prayers and her entreaties under my feet. I broke her heart, and sent her to her
grave. Young man, if you have a godly mother, treat her kindly."

16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Happy Birthday Andrea(Our niece in WA and Theodog(age 3)!

On June 17th we will celebrate 2 birthdays: Andrea Diane, our niece and Theo our hotdog age 3!
Happy Birthday!
Can we be as obedient to our Lord Jesus Christ as our dog is to us? He waits for us always! He surrounds us with love! He protects us always!
Today we are studying Galatians 5: 2-6:
"When we are running the race for Christ, we must stay in our lane! We become citizens of heaven through faith in Christ; then the Lord puts us on our course. We don't run to be saved, we run because we are saved, and we want to fulfill God's will in our lives." per Warren Wiersbe Bible Commentary.
God's grace is sufficient for us! We are saved by His grace and we serve by His grace! Let us all be obedient to His calling on our life!
Prayer: "Lord we come to Your holy throne, and ask you to again to forgive us, so we can walk in Your grace and truth. Let us be a light in a dark world. Let us be filled by Your Holy Spirit, to be controlled by our mind, emotions, and will. Thank you Lord for always hearing our prayers. In your Holy name Jesus do we pray and in Your will. Amen."
God's grace is sufficient for all our needs!
Love to our precious niece Andrea Diane in Washington state, her husband, and new Baby on the way! Happy Birthday!

Jesus prayed!
"Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened" (Luke 3:21).
"And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed" (Mark 1:35).
"And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray" (Mark 6:46).
"And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed" (Luke 5:16).
"And it came to pass in those days, that he (Jesus) went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God" (Luke 6:12).
"And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone" (Matthew 14:23).
"And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God" (Luke 16:12).
"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen" (Matthew 6:9-13).
"At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight" (Matthew 11:25-26).
"Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth" (John 11:41-43).
"And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering" (Luke 9:28-29).
"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren" (Luke 22:31-32).
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25).
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" (John 14:16).
"Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence" (Matthew 19:13-15).
"Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder" (Matthew 26:36).
"And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray" (Mark 14:32).
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words" (Matthew 26:39-44).
"And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground" (Luke 22:41-44).
"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered" (Hebrews 5:7-8).
"Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors" (Isaiah 53:12).
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt....He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done...And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words" (Matthew 26:39,42,44).
"And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt" (Mark 14:35-36).
"And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done..." (Luke 22:41-42).

A year ago, I never would have dreamed that we would collect data to submit to the World Melanoma Conference, on Spiritual Health.
Another one of those....accidents....or God's plan in action.
On June 11, 2009, I began to ask all the new patients, "Would you like to pray about your melanoma and surgery right now?" I had 80 say yes, and 10 say no. If they voiced no, I would kindly accept their response in the chart, "Spiritual health, no." Over the course of 5 months, 23 people accepted Christ as their personal Savior, and made a vow to Jesus Christ, to live for him!
My husband, took another leap of faith, by putting the statistics into writing. The abstract was accepted, as his first abstract over several weeks was also.
I rested quite well as we worked on statistics and the paper, poster. Yes he placed my name as first author. What a surprise I had, when the data of the first abstract and the second one was at the same time. I felt very comfortable when I believed he would submit all the data on both abstracts. To present the data to my peers, and also others in a higher level of expertise, than I. I had experience as an RN since 1980, 28 years, but still it was a great fear I needed to overcome.
That day arrived, and I was quite afraid, with my knee's knocking together as if they were playing an instrument, along with my palms being very wet, from perspiration. I prayed, "Lord I cannot do this, but YOU can! Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit, to speak through me and for me.
The room was quiet with the 30 people present. All responded favorable to the study. One negative voice of fear that I didn't have a spiritual degree in nursing. Later that day the study was presented to the entire audience of approximately 1000 melanoma experts, MD's, PHD's, Scientist's, and from all over the world. Is was stated from the study, that increased spiritual health is needed, by our statistics.
What they didn't know was, the statistics were only patients and family members. That did not list the nurses, or vendors who visited the office who heard the gospel, and who are believers.
More and more people are coming for prayer. God's spirit is pouring down on the office. Is it because He is the CEO of the company. Mostly everything in the waiting room are Bibles and devotional's. People are coming in hurting and want comfort that only Jesus Christ can truely bring.
God is our Savior, Jesus Christ! The maker of heaven and earth. We give HIM all the glory!! PTL.
"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
"Lord Jesus, please start with me today, by refining me in the fire, until I look more like YOU. Cleanse me with your precious blood, Lord. Lord fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and let me walk in your foot steps and speak Your words. Place Your lost sheep in my path. Save Your people Lord Jesus today. Send a revival, now Lord Jesus. Thank you Lord Jesus, and we pray in Your precious name and will Lord. Amen."
Since June 11, 2008 we have seen 94 people accept Christ as their personal Savior, and the Holy Spirit poured into them. Praise the Lord!! It happens almost daily now. Almost always after prayer.
Would you pray for more people to come to Christ everywhere and that He will keep blessing the office? We covet your prayers. Also would you please commit to praying for the new believers, that their new faith will grow? If you could pray every week or everyday for more people to come to Christ? Come to Wednesday prayer please at the office 12-1pm. Hope and praying you will be there!
Love in Christ Jesus!

Please pray for all of our troops overseas and at home

If you want to do more, please pray for our troops. We are donors to "Operation Soldier Care." Tony and his helpers send so many packages to our lonely troops. He sent a package to our son pictured above when he served in Afghanistan in 2007.
We love our Troops.
Prayer:
"God please protect them whereever they are. We are very proud of all of you and so is God. Thank you Lord God in your name we pray. Amen."
Read each line very carefully...isn't it beautiful! Our Lord God knows each of us intimately. He is with us constantly. God made us wonderfully. God judges righteously.
It is best to read the Word and let the Spirit search us and speak to us, for then we discover the truth. We must never dispute with God, for He loves us and wants only the very best for us!!
Psalm 139
God's Omnipresence and Omniscience. For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O LORD, You know it all.
You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
If I say, "Surely the (N)darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,"
Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day
Darkness and light are alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand
When I awake, I am still with You.
O that You would slay the wicked, O God;
Depart from me, therefore, men of bloodshed.
For they speak against You wickedly,
And Your enemies take Your name in vain.
Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
I hate them with the utmost hatred;
They have become my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way."
After being sick since Tuesday of this week, with fever and coughing. I was forced to stay at home for 3 days. It gave me time to reflect on God's word and pray for others who need prayers.
If you also would like to pray, would you add these to yours. Just a few of the prayers.
Mr. T has esophageal cancer and needs a cure and miracles.
Tina in Michigan has 3 children: 2 twins age 16, and a daughter age 15. After making a go-cart, an accident occurred. One of the twins a boy needed surgery. The Mother was able to pray with him before he went to the OR (Surgery). Their entire family are Christians. He had a severed artery and died in surgery.
Sarah also from Michigan, a friends friend. 14 years old is on a ventilor with Stephen Johnson Syndrome. A disorder of sloughing of the skin on the entire body, causing a 3rd degree burn. It is very painful. It usually occurs after an allergic type reaction from a drug, such as Sulfa. She is doing better, but this is a critical need for prayer.
A friend has a church in Africa and needs a school. My sister did a mission at that church location. They just lost their power for 4 days. Needed your prayers.
A mission we pray with several times a week. I am not at liberty to discuss too much information, but they start churches in India, Pakistan, Nepal, (they use the people of those countries to start the church groups. They have 30,000 new believers. They need prayers.
My husband who is a Surgical Oncologist, our mission is Melanoma Center of Hope. Can we be the hands, feet, and words of Jesus. Can we feed His sheep, the way He would like us to do. We give Bibles away and pray for the patients, only if they allow us to do so. They come in to have surgery for Malignant Melanoma, Merkel Cell Carcinoma, and Soft Tissue Sarcoma. We pray each day for the patients who are having surgery this week or in the future, ones who need healing or waiting for pathology. We pray for the ones who just got a bad report. The ones who just received a poor result from their pet or Cat scan. We pray for the ones who are alive because God's great great grace and healing. He doesn't sometime perform miracles, He does them everyday, all the time!!!
Use us all Lord!

Pentecost Acts 2
Acts 2 (New American Standard Bible)
Acts 2
The Day of Pentecost
1When (A)the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
2And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled (B)the whole house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them.
4And they were all (C)filled with the Holy Spirit and began to (D)speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
5Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, (E)devout men from every nation under heaven.
6And when (F)this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.
7(G)They were amazed and astonished, saying, "Why, are not all these who are speaking (H)Galileans?
8"And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?
9"Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and (I)Cappadocia, (J)Pontus and (K)Asia,
10(L)Phrygia and (M)Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya around (N)Cyrene, and (O)visitors from Rome, both Jews and [a](P)proselytes,
11Cretans and Arabs--we hear them in our own tongues speaking of the mighty deeds of God."
12And (Q)they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another, "What does this mean?"
13But others were mocking and saying, "(R)They are full of sweet wine."
Peter's Sermon
14But Peter, taking his stand with (S)the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words.
15"For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, (T)for it is only the [b]third hour of the day;
16but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
17'(U)AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,' God says,
'THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND;
AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY,
AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS,
AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;
18EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN,
I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT
And they shall prophesy.
19'AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE
AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW,
BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE.
20'THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS
AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD,
BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME.
21'AND IT SHALL BE THAT (V)EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'
22"Men of Israel, listen to these words: (W)Jesus the Nazarene, (X)a man attested to you by God with miracles and (Y)wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know--
23this Man, delivered over by the (Z)predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, (AA)you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.
24"But (AB)God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it (AC)was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
25"For David says of Him,
'(AD)I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS IN MY PRESENCE;
FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN.
26'THEREFORE MY HEART WAS GLAD AND MY TONGUE EXULTED;
MOREOVER MY FLESH ALSO WILL LIVE IN HOPE;
27BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO (AE)HADES,
(AF)NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.
28'YOU HAVE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE;
YOU WILL MAKE ME FULL OF GLADNESS WITH YOUR PRESENCE.'
29"Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the (AG)patriarch David that he both (AH)died and (AI)was buried, and (AJ)his tomb is with us to this day.
30"And so, because he was (AK)a prophet and knew that (AL)GOD HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON HIS THRONE,
31he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of [c]the Christ, that (AM)HE WAS NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID His flesh SUFFER DECAY.
32"This Jesus (AN)God raised up again, to which we are all (AO)witnesses.
33"Therefore having been exalted (AP)to the right hand of God, and (AQ)having received from the Father (AR)the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has (AS)poured forth this which you both see and hear.
34"For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says:
'(AT)THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD,
"SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,
35UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET."'
36"Therefore let all the (AU)house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both (AV)Lord and Christ--this Jesus (AW)whom you crucified."
The Ingathering
37Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, (AX)what shall we do?"
38Peter said to them, "(AY)Repent, and each of you be (AZ)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39"For (BA)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are (BB)far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."
40And with many other words he solemnly (BC)testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this (BD)perverse generation!"
41So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand [d](BE)souls.
42They were (BF)continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to (BG)the breaking of bread and (BH)to prayer.
43Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many (BI)wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.
44And all those who had believed [e]were together and (BJ)had all things in common;
45and they (BK)began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.
46(BL)Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and (BM)breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,
47praising God and (BN)having favor with all the people And the Lord (BO)was adding to their number day by day (BP)those who were being saved.

Ethiopian Receives Christ!!
An Ethiopian Receives Christ
25So, when they had solemnly (AH)testified and spoken (AI)the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were (AJ)preaching the gospel to many villages of the (AK)Samaritans.
26But (AL)an angel of the Lord spoke to (AM)Philip saying, "Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to (AN)Gaza." (This is a desert road.)
27So he got up and went; and (AO)there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he (AP)had come to Jerusalem to worship,
28and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.
29Then (AQ)the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot."
30Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
31And he said, "Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?" And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:
"(AR)HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER;
AND AS A LAMB BEFORE ITS SHEARER IS SILENT,
SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH.
33"(AS)IN HUMILIATION HIS JUDGMENT WAS TAKEN AWAY;
WHO WILL RELATE HIS GENERATION?
FOR HIS LIFE IS REMOVED FROM THE EARTH."
34The eunuch answered Philip and said, "Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?"
35Then Philip (AT)opened his mouth, and (AU)beginning from this Scripture he (AV)preached Jesus to him.
36As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! (AW)What prevents me from being baptized?"
37[[a]And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."]
38And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39When they came up out of the water, (AX)the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing.
40But Philip found himself at (AY)Azotus, and as he passed through he (AZ)kept preaching the gospel to all the cities until he came to (BA)Caesarea.

Jeremiah 1:1-10 Jeremiah's Call and Commisssion
Jeremiah 1
Jeremiah's Call and Commission
1The words of (A)Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in (B)Anathoth in the land of Benjamin,
2to whom the word of the LORD came in the days of (C)Josiah the son of (D)Amon, king of Judah, in the (E)thirteenth year of his reign.
3It came also in the days of (F)Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of (G)Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
4Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,
5"Before I (H)formed you in the womb I knew you,
And (I)before you were born I consecrated you;
I have (J)appointed you a prophet to the nations."
6Then (K)I said, "Alas, Lord GOD!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
Because (L)I am a youth."
7But the LORD said to me,
"Do not say, 'I am a youth,'
(M)Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And (N)all that I command you, you shall speak.
8"(O)Do not be afraid of them,
For (P)I am with you to deliver you," declares the LORD.
9Then the LORD stretched out His hand and (Q)touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me,
"Behold, I have (R)put My words in your mouth.
10"See, (S)I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
(T)To pluck up and to break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
(U)To build and to plant."
4Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,
5"Before I (H)formed you in the womb I knew you,
And (I)before you were born I consecrated you;
I have (J)appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Isaiah's Vision
1In the year of (A)King Uzziah's death (B)I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.
2Seraphim stood above Him, (C)each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3And one called out to another and said,
"(D)Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts,
The (E)whole earth is full of His glory."
4And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the (F)temple was filling with smoke.
5Then I said,
"(G)Woe is me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of (H)unclean lips,
And I live among a (I)people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the (J)King, the LORD of hosts."
6Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the (K)altar with tongs.
7He (L)touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and (M)your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."
Isaiah's Commission
8Then I heard the (N)voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then (O)I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
9He said, "Go, and tell this people:
'Keep on (P)listening, but do not perceive;
Keep on looking, but do not understand.'
10"(Q)Render the hearts of this people (R)insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
(S)Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed."

The Prophetic Call to Samuel
1 Samuel 3
The Prophetic Call to Samuel
1Now (A)the boy Samuel was ministering to the LORD before Eli And (B)word from the LORD was rare in those days, visions were infrequent.
2It happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his place (now (C)his eyesight had begun to grow dim and he could not see well),
3and (D)the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD where the ark of God was,
4that the LORD called Samuel; and he said, "(E)Here I am."
5Then he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But he said, "I did not call, lie down again." So he went and lay down.
6The LORD called yet again, "Samuel!" So Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But he answered, "I did not call, my son, lie down again."
7(F)Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, nor had the word of the LORD yet been revealed to him.
8So the LORD called Samuel again for the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." Then Eli discerned that the LORD was calling the boy.
9And Eli said to Samuel, "Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, 'Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening.'" So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10Then the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel said, "Speak, for Your servant is listening."
11The LORD said to Samuel, "Behold, (G)I am about to do a thing in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

What a friend we have in Jesus
Author Joseph Scriven: A man who had experienced the friendship of Jesus through a life filled with personal tragedy. When Scriven was a young man in Ireland, his fiancee' accidentally drowned on the eve of their wedding. Soon after this, he set sail for Canada. He seemed destined to live his life alone, with Jesus as his only close friend. In Canada, he determined to be a friend to those in need, and he became known as the "Good Samaritan of Port Hope.'
He never intended to publish this hymn. He wrote the words to accomapany a letter to his mother in Ireland when she became ill. He had no material resources to send her-only a reminder that the most perfect of friends, Jesus himself, was nearby.
Later, when Scriven himself was ill, a visiting friend noticed the hymn scribbled on scratch paper near his bed. "Did you write this?" asked the friend. "Well, not completely," Scriven answered, "The Lord and I did it between us."
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear,
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer.
O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear.
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and havy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge-
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there. by JOSEPH SCRIVEN

Happy Birthday Barbie Doll! You are 50 today.
You sold back then for $3.00 and you were either blond or brunette. Now the same 50 year old one is around $12000. according to NPR.
When will they ever make a Born Again Barbie, who goes to Church, and holds her Holy Bible in her arms. We could push her hand and she could talk. "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

The Nightingale Pledge
The Nightingale Pledge was composed by Lystra Gretter, an instructor of nursing at the old Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and was first used by its graduating class in the spring of 1893. It is an adaptation of the Hippocratic Oath taken by physicians.
~~~
I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician, in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care
Just as I am
Today, I wanted to think about the day, He called me. It is so vivid in my mind. Read the words below, can you imagine? I had a broken heart, a 10 out of 10 as being the worst heart break you could imagine. It's 1972. My heart felt totally cracked, and lying open. At 15 years old, I had lost a lot of weight and I was sickly. My 3 year old brother's image still lay open in my mind. In 1971, the year before: His image of being in a coma in the ICU bed. He was on that Baby Bird ventilator, and I can still hear the quick swish swish swish, of continuous air being pushed into his little lungs. His hand flaccid. That day he left this earth. In my mind, I have always pictured Jesus holding him, above the bed, and taking him to heaven.
So here I was in Birmingham Alabama, listening to Billy Graham, with his hand calling me up to come "Just as I am, without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me.
If you haven't said this prayer, would you now?
"Dear God, I know that You love me. I confess my sin and need of salvation. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and arose from the grave. I turn away from my sin and place my faith in Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I want to follow You with my life. Amen."
Prayer: "Jesus thank you for this day. Please use all of us in your special day today, to serve others. Whatever that is You want us to do. We will serve our fellow man while serving you. We will love you first with all our heart, soul, mind, and love our fellowman as ourself. Thank you Lord Jesus, and forgive us, of all our sins. Please use our words, lips, hands, and feet, as Yours. Place people in our path today and tomorrow, who You want us to serve. Thank you Jesus and in Your name we pray, and Your will be done. Amen."
Just as I Am
1. Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
2. Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee Whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
3. Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
4. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
5. Just as I am Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Every eye will see Him and every knee will bow!!
After Jesus died, was buried, and rose in three days, he appeared on the earth with the disciples: Then:
"The Ascension
9 And after He (Jesus) had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. 11 They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11
He will come to get us believers:
"And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory." Matthew 24:30
"Jesus said to him, "You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." Matthew 26:64
"Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory." Mark 13:26
"And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. 23 “For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! 25 “And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? 26 “If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters? 27 “Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 28 “But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith! 29 “And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. 30 “For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. 31 “But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.
33 “Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. 34 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Be in Readiness
35 “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36 “Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. 37 “Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. 38 “Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves." Luke 12: 22-38
Those Who Died in Christ
"13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words." 1Thessalonians 4:13-18
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Message to the Seven Churches
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— 6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. "
